Gear Review
Good for what it's supposed to be

I purchased this windbreaker in lieu of a far more expensive softshell jacket because of the athletic fit and water resistant properties claimed by the website and other reviews. I figured I could layer a microfleece under it to get the insulation I might need, and Id be all set. I have not been disappointed. It cuts the wind effectively, and though there are no underarm zips, it's light enough that I don't usually get to warm. As winter's coming on, I find it excellent for cycling (higher wind-chill) when layered over a microfleece sweater. I was particularly thrilled by a small bit of fabric covering the top of the zipper, keeping it from chilling the chin when the jacket is zipped up. Im quite satisfied with this windbreaker, and would recommend it for others with similar needs/desires.
