this jacket gives me the willies just thinking about it. i have no idea why this thing is such a perennial seller. it wets out. it looks terrible. and the clamminess experienced when wearing this jacket doing anything remotely resembling activity is kind of outrageous. i can remember the exact feeling of the inside of the jacket being stuck to my forearm or neck. yuck! i was on a bike trip last spring and when the storm clouds started rolling in, i made the conscious decision to not grab this out of my pannier. instead, i just let myself get soaked. after that trip, i came to terms with this jacket and sold it or 10 bucks. i guess the price point is okay and it is always on sale; that's a plus. it makes an okay emergency layer for day hikes, but 10oz is a lot of weight to take seriously.
