Great coat, not too stay-puf-marshmallow

Bought this and TNF Upper West Side to try out after concludng that Patagonia Fiona wasn't warm enough. First thought was that it was too heavy for DC, but I wanted something for our coldest days when walking the dogs is an unpleasant chore, and the 15 minute walk between downtown offices I do a few times a week make me whimper. The pluses were the detachable hood, shaped silloutte (which is important n a puffier coat), above the knee length, yummy plush lining, and quality. Disn't love the look of the Other coat as much. Two days after the decision the temerature dipped and the winds picked up, resulting in wind chills of <20. I have happily walked the pooches, and even went an extra mile because I was so comfy. I am 5-6, 160, and bought a L, which gives me plenty of room for layers - or even a suit jacket. Happy customer!
