Gear Review
Beware of sizing

I ordered the medium Theta SV at first. Im 179cm (5'10") 165lbs and an atheletic build. I wear a medium in all arcteryx shells/softshells. The Medium Theta SV is quite generous in its cut. Coupled with the extremely long cut and the size just felt wrong. When compared to the previous Theta SV it was more than a 1/2 size larger in the medium and when copared to the Sabre sv (loosest fit of all my jackets) it was still larger. Finally I ordered the small and im glad i did! perfect fit (small Theta SV is pretty much the same size as my medium Alpha SV but longer in the front and rear).
Now about the jacket. The sillouette is perfect. Excellent pocket placement (away from shoulder straps and waist belts). roomy enough to stash my gear. Arms have ample length for my monkey long arms. Excellent articulation in the arms so your cuffs dont ride up. Hood is large and fits over any helment and can be cinched down so it does not flop around. Internal mesh pocket was a nice additionto stash larger objects.
Overall great jacket. As good or better than the previous Theta SV and prefer the Theta SV over the Alpha.
