Kelty Gunnison 2 Tent: 2-Person 3-Season

Item #KEL0703 | 42 in Stock
4 Star Rating

Poles are light and the Vents can be cold

By Ranked #332 - 3-Season Tents February 1, 2012

I have spent a lot of time backpacking with this tent, and there are only two issues that I can think of. The first is the DAC poles. because they are light weight, they can be prone to hairline cracks in the flange if you are not careful when setting them up, or if setting up in a lot of wind. this happened while a friend was setting up the tent, so I'm not sure how much of it could be blamed on him or not. Kelty took a while, but made right on the warranty eventually. The other issue can be that because of the head and foot vents, the tent can get quite a bit colder than other three season tents without vents in those places. they can let a bit of draft through, but really only got to be an issue in when pushing the limit (30 degree bag in 20-30 degree temps)
