Hard to put on an active toddler!

These are nice mittens, but hard to put on an active toddler. I wish they had the zipper opening as shown in the photo instead of the velcro on each side. The cinch doesn't open wide enough to allow his hand to go in easily, especially if he doesn't want to put them on! I bought these for my 14 month old grandson as we live in ND and he needs quality mittens for daily outdoor use. The sizing seems accurate (I bought a small for him) and the quality is nice.
