The perfect one ski quiver! If you race, buy race skis. If you ski on ice, get some skates. If you do anything else, get the Bent Chetler’s! Best skis I’ve ever owned. I used to race and these are my first pair of powder skis. I can’t believe what I’ve been missing. They feel lively/poppy. it’s a wonderful feeling. They’re a blast in moguls, just make your turns where the powder is instead of where everyone else has scraped the ice.
I don’t have to state the obvious that the Bents butter the powder, but they have been excellent in the deep heavy wet stuff (28 degree air temp plus), and totally rock it on the groomers and chunks.
I actually think these skis prefer the crud. As others have said, the 192’s just float over everything. I’m a fat 235 lbs, 5’9”, and I haven’t sunk in yet, they stay right on top. Mounted them 1.5-2cm behind team line with Marker Jester’s (perfect combo), and the tail still seems a little long, then again, I don’t really do tricks or ride switch
The perfect freeride/powder ski that excels in the crud. I will run these skis until they break in half.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE ATOMIC BENT CHETLER 192’s.
