Gear Review
McMurdo

Ranked #107 - Men's Down Jackets
January 20, 2012
Light, warm, the hoods fur ruff extends to block wind, rain and snow. The waist and hem draw strings are excellent. Zipper is really good! The zipper flap snaps. -No velcro-. This is good! No velcro to catch and snag on other garments. Downside- The zipper flap snaps are weak and easily pop loose. The hood ruff is snapped on. The snaps are too far apart. When the wind gets behind you, the wind 'jets' through the spaces between these snaps and in comes a blast of cold air and all that the air brings in! Such as rain, snow, whatever! Not good. There is no hood stay adjuster on the top back of the hood. So, you cannot adjust it for forward view needs. The arms are not insulated enough.
