Perfect base layer for backcountry skiing. I turn out the heat of a power plant when I am skinning, so I strip down to this and a shell usually for the way up.
I have also used it for rock climbing, cold-weather work, and just as a warm layer. Never fails.

A little expensive (hence the missing star), but you pay for that mammoth and it's worth it.
