Couldn't be happier with this pack -- exactly what I was looking for. I can carry a hydration bladder and lunch/snacks for my family without the pack being so thick that it pushes me off of the back of the chairlift. The pluses are that it also has a very good ski carry system built in -- which I use so I can hand carry my kids skis while I carry mine on my back.
I don't use the ice-pick / shovel features (yet), but it is nice to have them built in. The pack is small and you will barely notice it on your back. If you need to carry a ton of gear, get a bigger one.
Build quality is absolutely top notch.
