I had to buy a good pair of pants for my job that requires I wear only tan.
These are darker than the picture, almost like the Rock Guide zip-off pant. Definitely leans more to a yellow tint, but it's the color I need. It still looks quite nice.
They feel somewhat like a windbreaker/raincoat but are not itchy or uncomfortable. It seems like small fibers are sticking to the pants, but it doesn't matter to me and they are sparse.
True to fit-it is low rise though not the low LOW rise you find in juniors jeans. They really are straight-no slight tapering at all.
The legs are nice and wide from that so if you needed to fit a boot under them, it would be no problem.
They are on the slight(very, very slight)sheer side, so I don't intend to wear black or a dark navy underneath and they do fit close enough you may have to worry about a line, but unless you are stuck in a work environment like I am, this won't really effect you.
Great pants-I will have to buy another pair of Patagonia's soon.
