This is my first pair of snowshoes and needed a pair for a planned trip to Mt Rainier. My main objective was a durable pair, I weigh 225 and adding my boots, cloths, backpack and heavy camera gear probably pushing 300 lbs. These snowshoes worked great and showed no problems supporting the weight on uneven surfaces or step slopes. Looking at different brands and levels of snowshoes, the other issue was the binding performance. The temp dropped to zero overnight and the bindings work very well with easy on and off and showed no problems of freezing up and sticking. The snowshoes were easy to use, the heal lifts worked great and made it easier going up hill. I am very happy with these and was worth the extra money for the durability and bindings.
