This is my first time with this brand and I was nothing but impressed. I wanted to have a good light weight shoe for trekking around the Dominican Republic and not have to worry about getting my feet wet in the city's pristine sewer water (sarcasm). I thought that the Gortex might be too hot for the tropics, but I never noticed. I wore Under Armor socks and my feet were breathing fine. I had heard that the lacing system was the shoes weak point, but I have put these through a lot and have had no issues. I wear these shoes almost every day at work.
