Atomic Bent Chetler Ski

Item #ATO0412 | 4 in Stock
3 Star Rating

Great ski, laughable durability.

By Ranked #373 - Big Mountain Freeride Skis December 25, 2011

After a fall of researching what pro model ski to go with this year I came upon the Bent Chetler. I went with the 192 variant and I absolutely love them. They rip groomers, float in the wolf creek pow and they are just plain smile inducing. However after receiving the obligatory CB core shot on opening days last run. Which I filled in that night. They split in the sidewall just under one of my bindings more then two weeks later after finally finding snow in Wolf Creek. Bye bye 7hundo. The trauma that these skis suffered to split the way they did makes me hope I received a defective pair. Bottom line, these skis are amazing but save them for the cat because they can't take a hit.

ste29....sorry to hear about your openning day core shot, I've skied the 192's with 30 days last season and the ski has been very durable. The cap/laminate construction is very resilient ,IMO not deserving of 2 out of 5 stars. Wouldn't want to scare anyone away from such a great ski. Perhaps if they de-laminated due to no core shot I could see your dismay. 5 out of 5 for a well made ski.
