Gear Review
Great for climbing and XC skiing, kinda tight

Ranked #77 - Men's Softshell Pants

I think these pants are awesome. The material is thin, so these aren't for riding or winter climbing. I love them for cool weather spring/fall rock climbing and hiking, and for active winter sports like snowshoeing or XC skiing over a midweight baselayer bottom.
These do have a very athletic fit. They aren't the kind of pants you'll wear around in town, but they are really stretchy, comfortable, and offer great freedom of movement. I should mention that there isn't any stretch in the waistband. I usually wear a 32 waist and the mediums fit me well, but there isn't any extra room.
One other note: these do not handle thorn bushes well at all.
