A Must Have Base Camp Tent

Ranked #25 - 4-Season Tents

Okay, I took the plunge and purchased the North Face Dome 5 (5-Person 4-Season) Tent. I would be nuts not to purchase it at the reduced price of $1,399.97.
I had originally purchased this tent for $1,999.95 several months ago but canceled the order because I was told by a chat rep that it had a stove jack and it did not. I held out because I was searching for a non-military style tent with a stove jack to accommodate my portable camp stove to no avail (the only available tent is the $4,999.95 model).
I also went on to the Kirkham website and purchase their 8' x 10' canvas wall tent which I will utilize in the ADK for deer/bear hunting trips.
The North Face Dome 5 (5-Person 4-Season) tent has sufficient height and is roomy enough for an air mattress and all of my gear. It's also built to withstand high winds, driving rains and bitter cold. Instead of my portable camp stove to stay warm in subzero temperatures, I will utilize my Portable Mr. Big Buddy propane heater.
And with the unlimited exchange/return policy it was well worth buying from www.backcountry.com.
