Seem to ski short

We've had two pairs of these in our family. Last year my 8 year old daughter skied on pair, and ended up over-powering them by the end of the season. They started head-height, but were eye height by end of the season. This year, bought a pair for my 6 year old son which are a few cm above his head. He's flying on them, with no problems carving turns. I guess the rocker means you can go a little longer than you with normal kids sizing. Makes sense, given that's similar guidance for adult rockered skis. Caveat is both kids are advanced skiers.
