Ranked #120 - Men's Ski Jackets

I purchased this jacket not really knowing what to expect except reading nothin but positive reviews on all of Flylows products. I was looking for a warm, preferably down winter ski jacket. I took the plunge and am not disappointed. I went with the purple and its a pretty nice color. As soon as I put it on, zipped up I could feel the heat. Fit is loose but not Patagonia "boxy" as others have reviewed. Hood is huge, easily fits over a helmut. Nice cuffs which easily cinch down nice. Powder skirt is great. Nice chest and two hand warmer pockets. My only reason for not giving this jacket 5 stars, no big inside pockets. There is a smaller inside pocket but if they put 2 HUGE goggle pockets inside I think this jacket would literally be the creme de la creme. I went back and forth with buying another Gortex jacket but had enough. This jacket fits the bill with its DWR finish. Bottom line, Flylow has made an excellent, WARM, down filled ski/board jacket and I see myself getting many years (I hope) out of it. Nice job.

SkiBum12, why don't you try a BA Puffy instead? BA Puffy is my go-to jacket, it's got two huge mesh inside pockets around waist level. If I'm going slackcountry I stuff my skins into those hip pox and I don't need to bring a pack. I also have a Higgins for warmer / wetter days; the Higgins also has an inside hip pox on each side, big enough to fit one skin per side. I used to be a Spyder junkie, but a few years ago I discovered FlyLow while touring with CASA in Argentina, and I've become a total FlyLow whore. I own just about every item they make, but I don't have an Ice Man because to me the Ice Man is a BA Puffy with one less external chest pocket and several less internal pockets.

Hey Skibum We will try to add those inner pockets to this down jacket in the future. We used "stitch" through technology to construct the lining...so, we tried to avoid puncturing the materials that protects the down. So, we just need to find a way to add the pockets without compromising the quality of the coat. Thanks for the support and the feedback! flylowdan
