Great Headlamp... except the batteries

I've had this one for a couple years and it is going strong. It has nice bright LED and the diffuser is an easy flip up down when you need to spread out the light (at the cost of definition). It isn't a compact unit but is smaller than my Princeton Apex Pro (http://www.consumersearch.com/headlamps/princeton-tec-apex-pro). I don't like the fact that it uses AAA's since my other uses AA's which are a more common gadget battery.. standardize please! That said, the beauty of LED's are battery life which is good in this unit. This is a steal on SAC right now.

Can anyone confirm this? The backcountry photo shows AA's and petzl's site lists AA's. This review and backcountry's specs list AAA's. I'm pretty sure they're not both right.
