The softest fabric known to man

I love this merino shirt. its made from merino that is 17.5 micron, and noticeably softer than others out there using 18.9. 18.9 is soft, but this merino wool is incredible soft. i use it for everything, on the hill, off the hill, around the house, around town. The fit is athletic but comfortable, not tight. arms are plenty long but stay where they need to be. washes well - i took a hit last year with 8 stitches in my elbow and blood everywhere. the merino did not cut, and washed up great! ditch the old synthetic layer, and treat yourself to warm, comfortable, and soft baselayers from stoic.

I second that comment and fully agree with the five stars for this shirt. I am 72 so I don't go climbing mountains or skiing like you youngsters, I wear it going around the shops and surprising for my middle age spread, the small size fits very nicely. In fact the sleeve is too long so I roll it up until it does not stick out from my other clothing. All in all it's a wonderful shirt in the shale/vintage colour.
