Gear Review
The Precip Jacket, a great windbreaker, a poor rain jacket.

I had had this jacket for over a year now and feel comfortable in saying that this jacket is a fail. It is light and quite inexpensive. It packs well and fits well. It. Locks the wind quite well also. Unfortunately it stopped blocking the rain long ago. After my first backpacking trip, it now quickly absorbs water into where the pack was riding. After maybe 10 wears over six monthes, this jacket is less water resistant than my windstopper pieces. Not a durable jacket at all. Paid less, got less. Would not recommend.
