Ranked #72 - Men's Synthetic Insulation Jackets
November 18, 2011
Combining a Nano Puff with a Gore Windstopper shell...smart move on the end of the folks out in Ventura, CA. Used this jacket just about everyday on the river during a 2 weeks Steelhead fly fishing trip. I was a bit skeptical at fist of Patagonia teaming up with Gore-Tex, but seriously, it couldn't have been a better move. The shell is great and the Nano insulation is the best. The fit is unique, so before you buy, I would try one on. It has a shorter cut to it than what you might think. I am 5'9" and 185 lbs. with big shoulders and I got a size - M. At fist I thought it was too tight in the shoulders, but as I started to wear it more, I realized it fits great. A Large would have been way to big, especially for someone who is 5'9". The cuffs are stellar. The waist cord draw-string system is on of the best I have ever seen. All in all, a great do-it-all piece to add to your mix.
