After searching for a new jacket, a BC rep led me to the bombshell. My first impression, as like many others was the seemingly soft stretchy fabric which looked like I could catch a limb and rip it easily. But pay no mind, this fabric is strong, waterproof, windproof and breathable. I love it cause just on warmer days and wearing no layers, the fabric is very comfortable yet protects. I got an XXL as I'm on the cusp of being a tad larger than an XL. the sizing for me is perfect with use of layers.The main reason I got this was all the features on the shell which I have wanted and needed for years. wrist gaiters, pit zips, removable powder skirt and a high neck. Seriously, for the amount of shell you get for the money you pay is an unbelievable purchase. I think the only difference I have between this years and last years model is the recco reflector and the mesh in the underarm vents, which would be sweet to have, (but I digress)

After a full season of use, my subjective review was outstanding for this jacket. A few things to note; there was some minor pilling near the wrist pocket, the brim is not very stiff and if you're skiing east coast, you eventually will be skiing in the rain and a sloppy brim is just annoying for me.(non helmet wearer) Also, the wrist gaiters has this very dense material that pulls into your skin around your thumb after a couple hours of use, makes the hands a little sore. (kinda wish the brim was made from this material)

My collection of stoic products is growing exponentially.I got the deep tahoe which is great, not as electrifying colorful like some other stoic products

and...and the jacket is proven while using a homemade zipline...
