I haven't actually skied these yet, but I'm giving them 5 stars because I have a really good feeling about them. These will be my new touring workhorses this winter, and I will be mounting them with dynafits. Should be an incredibly light, versatile powder tools. I'll report back with my findings...

Hi Ian. Because of the paltry snowpack in Colorado this year I haven't skied the TST this season but remembering the last two powder days on the TST's last Spring still brings a smile. In 12-14 inches of untracked, the ride was effortless, precise and predictible, even with AT boots. They float nearly as well as the full-on pow skis that I've used at Fernie and Revelstoke but are much more stable in crud or on groomers, even at moderate speed. This setup (TST 183's/Dynafit/Scarpa Matrix) is not as light as my old AT outfit (K2 Shuksan/Dynafit) but it's more versatile and it's going to be my go-to ski for anything short of Spring ski-mountaineering. One downside for long tours is the weight of the skins (BD) required for a ski with this much surface area. On balance--the combination of camber, early rise and more conventional tail produces the most exciting boards I've ever skied, and I've been around a long time. Vic

Hi Ian. I did exactly that last year--mounted Armada's TST 183's to Dynafit Tech binders. Even my lightweight Scarpa Matrix AT boots have enough power to drive this setup with great results and at half the weight. With BD skins, this makes a great backcountry and hut tour setup too.

Gotta listen to Mr. Provo. He's the man.

nice Jake, great setup! @mark, I think you might be better off with the 183cm. You might lose some weight with the smaller size, but you'll also lose some performance.

I am trying to decide between the 183 and 174. I am 5'10", ski mostly off trail and occasional moguls, and am trying to save a little weight for the sidecountry tours. Thoughts?

Pulled the trigger on some 192's. I will be mounting the new Dyanfit Radical FT12 binding on these. Decided to go with the 192 because all the early rise 182-185 skis I've used in the past leave me begging for just a little more length. I'll post an in depth review when the snow flies.

At 6', I should be riding the 192cm. I originally got the 183's for more technical skiing, but they may end up becoming my everyday ride.

I'm no pro, but I'm 5'9", 140lbs, and skiing the 183 in the Wasatch. Super fun resort ski last spring so I'm going to make the TST my all-everything touring ski this year. +Dynafit and Dalbello Virus Tours.

How tall are you and what length you going to do? I am seriously considering the same setup...
