you know, these would probably be an ok approach shoe, if i didn't feel like i was going to fall out of them. Yes, i could tighten the laces, however, that wouldn't help the heel slip. Substantial heel slip. Now some might say i am too picky, but if you've warn a good pair of shoes that you are going to be doing any kind of outdoor movement in, then the shoe should feel secure. Heel slip can be fixed by created a more conformed heel pocket, that comes just above that part of your heel where the achilles meets.... this shoes lacks this and so, slippage happens. I'll probably keep them for wearing at the office, since they are nice looking anyway, but they won't be hitting the trail.
