I have been reading a lot and couldn't decide between the Atomic Bentchetlers, Armada JJ's, or K2 Hellbents. Let me tell ya. . . I have skied different shaped skis like the JJ's, Bentchetlers, S7's, S3's, etc etc. . . But sometimes you just have to go back to the basic shaped skis (except the reverse camber) to get the best performance. There is a reason why the hellbents are the best. Try them out. and You'll see what I mean.

Really its all about your skiing style. The reason those other skis are shaped the way they are is so they can use rockered tip and tale with regular camber underneath. Where as the Hellbent uses little to no camber but uses a traditional parabolic style side cut. Plus these skis are made for more backcountry jibbing. Thats why the rocker is so intense. They arent made for the hard charger going down gnarly chutes and tearing up variable conditions. They are made for the powder guy who wants to throw some freestyle into it. (Notice how park skis don't have the new 5 dimensions? They still have the traditional "basic" parabolic shape.) Just like the Hellbents. So for those who are a little more playful when skiing powder. These skis are beast.

"But sometimes you just have to go back to the basic shaped skis (except the reverse camber) to get the best performance." -I'm really interested in these skis, but I can't figure out how the "basic shape" helps in powder. It seems like it would make it harder to turn than the JJs, Bents, S7s, etc. Can you explain a bit?
