I want to write to North Face and thank them for these pants. I am 145lb and 5'9 with a 33" inseam and the mediums fit me nicely with a pair of hiking pants underneath. I took them on a 3 day long 20 mile hike and 20 mile packraft trip off of the Denali Highway (re: very remote) and it poured for 2/3 days and there was plenty of bush wacking through soaking brush. They got soaked in my pack on my pack raft (while I was in a dry suit), but still managed to keep me very dry. I love the pockets. The side zippers were really nice at the end and beginning of each day to be able to slip my already shoed feet into them. Bottom Line: They dry relatively quickly, didn't get punctured in burly bush-wacking scenarios, fit really well, and the pants never stopped protecting me from the rain. Attached is a photo of some of the more tame terrain (on our one sunny day), because hey, it's a great picture of a beautiful trip!

I just received a size Medium-Regular in this pant, and it is too short for me. I am 5' 8" and had thought I'd ordered a pant with a 32" inseam (That's what it said at the other company's web site from which I ordered.) But the pant I received has an inseam of 30.5." I love its features and the general comfort and intelligence of its cut; but it hits too high and swill let water into my boots, and so won't do. (Actually, I ordered it to replace a too-short rain pant by Patagonia. I'm not going to make the same mistake twice.) Because the hang tag from Lowe Alpine bothers to specify that this too-short pant is Medium Regular, I suppose that there must exist a Medium TALL, which I'd snap up immediately if I could find it.

Hey I'm confused! The guy down below said the mediums have an inseam of 30.5"? That would be too short for me and I don't want to buy them unless they are actually long enough... Thanks... :-)
