Great, compact hydration pack.

As hot as it has been this summer, I needed to bring some extra water on my bicycle tours. I was tempted at first to get one of the smaller, minimalist packs, fearing that anything bigger would be too bulky, heavy, etc. I took a chance with the Rogue, and I couldn't be more pleased with the decision!

The 2 liter capacity lasts about an hour while cycling in 100+ degree heat, and 2 hours or more under more normal circumstances. It has a really sleek profile, and after a few minutes it's easy to forget you're even wearing it. The straps are secure enough to keep the pack from bouncing around on one's back. The fluorescent yellow version, which I got, helps with visibility in the twilight hours. And while you wouldn't be able to bring everything you'd need for a longer ride or hike in the Rogue alone, the 2 zippered pockets are more spacious than one would expect, and will easily hold a few energy bars, keys, a folded map, a wallet and cell phone, along with a few other small items. The bigger, open meshed pocket is also a convenient place to put a road pump or other similarly sized items - the mesh and straps are tight enough to keep one from falling out while on the road.

My sole complaint is that it takes some practice to be able to fill the pouch using the exterior fill feature without spilling any water... it's kind of a balancing act as the weight shifts.

Great product, quality materials, great utility.
