Gear Review
Not impressed with binding

I'm a big fan of MSR snowshoes and when I needed a new pair I was interested to try this binding system. After using them for a full winter, I'm not impressed. If you use one pair of boots of the entire season then perhaps it will save you some time, but I don't think it is significant. If you are changing boots, it is a pain (switching from mountaineering boots to hiking boots). Once in, the bindings are secure and work as described. Overall these are high quality snowshoes, read about the bindings thoroughly and decide whether the advantages/disadvantages of this binding system is worthwhile for you. I will continue to use these and they will serve their purpose well. You can't beat the durability, traction, and weight combo of MSR snowshoes!
