I like to keep my climbing gear organized so I'm not rummaging through everything just to find the right carabiner or draw. The packaging lists these as being water resistant, not sure how mesh can be water resistant, but I didn't buy them for that reason anyway. The mesh lets me see whats inside so I can quickly locate the gear I need. They're extremely light so you don't have any sort of weight penalty.
