Long-lasting boots, worth every penny

I bought a pair of these boots as a sophomore in high school in 1992 for my first really long backpacking trip, and wore them until just a couple years ago. I remember thinking they were horribly expensive at the time, but for a shoe that lasts through 15+ years of hard use, it's SO worth it! I usually backpack in low hiking shoes now, since I do short and lightweight trips for the most part, but I'm about to buy a new pair of Sundowners for two weeks of backpacking in Denali and Wrangell-St. Elias this summer. Hoping they're still as great as my old pair! Do keep in mind, the leather will take longer to break in than synthetic boots you may have worn in the past, and you do need to oil them occasionally to keep them in prime condition.
