Ranked #47 - 55 to 30 Degree Synthetic Bags
May 20, 2011
This is my second big Agnes sleeping bag. I also own a lost ranger. I switched to big Agnes after one night of being swaddled in an REI sub kilo bag. The first time a crawled into a big Agnes bag in a store I knew it was the brand for me. The bags are very large with plenty of room and the sleeve for an integral pad is the greatest idea since sliced bread. The big Agnes sleep systems are almost as comfortable as sleeping in a bed.
I bought the cross mountain as a summer bag for the Mid Atlantic. So far it seems well suited for the task. The bag is very light, very compressible, and seems to be well made. This bag is definitely a summer bag only. I am a cold sleeper and found I was cold in low 50 degree weather in an AT shelter, so I would definitely recommend bringing a sleeping bag liner if the temps are going to be below 60.
