A lot of tent for the money

I ended up returning this tent to get a 3 person tent for backpacking. But, this was pretty easy to set up and a simple design. This easily fit 2 adults and 2 kids aged 6 and 8, plus a lot of gear. There is no vestibule, but there is plenty of room for gear and bags inside. We had a queen air mattress for the adults, and 2 thermarests for the kids, with room to spare. We slept in this for two nights of car camping. We had 30mph winds off a lake one night and then rain showers the next. We stayed dry, and the tent stayed upright without problems. The tent did move a bit in the wind (it's pretty tall). SInce we had another two person tent to put the kids in, we thought we'd get a smaller and lighter tent for us adults (mountain hardwear 3 person). Of course the kids tent got ruined when one of them snuck a few too many marshmellows and threw up all over the inside--in a massive rain storm. So, 4 people in the 3 person Mt Hardwear tent--very cramped but man, what an element proof tent). The kids tent ended up getting totally soaked with rain, as well as puke, while the Mt Hardwear was totally dry). Now I'm once again looking for a 6 person family tent for car camping/easy backpacking. Only reason I'm not getting this tent again is because of the lack of a vestibule, which I think could be better in more extreme conditions. But, the Yellowstone 6 was an impressive contender, especially for the price, and a relatively light packed weight for a 6 person tent (no vestibule, less weight). Hmmm, maybe I will get it again...
