The North Face Makalu is my current my go-to belay jacket for alpine climbing this past year.
A waterproof shell + primaloft insulation + lightweight construction = warmth in any conditions that is not super bulky/heavy to carry
This piece is higher performance than the 'perception' that is mentioned below..it a more minimalist design which is what u want in the mountains..hence no bulky stitched logos and such :)
