BD's only Snowboard pack

So despite what Backcountry says, it does have a snowboard carry, a very effective one at that. So the pros: the fit, I'm 6' 2" 180lbs, with the adjustable hip belt and shoulder straps it fits in the right spots unlike some dakine and camelbak packs that are too "one size." The hip belt pockets are not right against your hip bones, which I find uncomfortable most occasions, and fit anything from phone, camera, tools to chapstick. The back access is great with the internal frame supporting the load of board or skis, while the hydration pocket located on the panel it pulls the bladder out of the way for even easier access. great avy tool pocket with still some room to spare for extra straps\biners\layer. The internal frame is my favorite feature, with A frame ski or board strapped on it feels so stable and won't do the obnoxious fold like most vertical carry packs do. the size is both a pro and a con, almost too large if you just want a small load like avy tools and a snack but it does compress down. when you're going big in the back country the size is perfect, I've fit splitboard crampons, poles skins tools, layers and still felt like I had extra room.

Cons: the top strap to carry the snowboard has a durable rubber sewn onto the inside to grip the board, well if your edges are even slightly sharp it will cut the threads, I will take mine to get a patch put over the whole section to prevent it from actually tearing.
I highly recommend this pack to any backcountry snowboarder or skier. Next season I'm getting another with the Avalung.
