best ever! sort of...

i've had several of these mugs and love them! kind of pricey, but well worth it. keeps coffee hot for hours and hours. only problem is with the lid, but it's never been a hygiene thing for me. they just wear out and stop working after repeated use. i've had 3 or 4 of these, each lasting anywhere from 8 - 12 months with almost daily use. super leak proof, as long as you sip the last little bit of liquid from the lid after closing it. was showing a friend how leak proof it was by holding it upside down and shaking it. pretty sure this is the only truly leak proof travel mug i've seen. alright then, i'm starting to ramble, but i really love this mug and hope the lid lasts longer this time!

Dear Rambling Man, Thanks for the description. I've also had problems with my lid. I left mine in my truck overnight this winter, and I think some frozen coffee wreaked havoc on the lid and now my lid permanently open. Looks like I'll either have to buy another mug, or find something else that won't spill in my backpack while I'm in the back country.
