This is a great pad, but it shouldn't be used alone for anything outside of the gym.
The quality and material is typical BD perfection.
In my opinion, this pad should be used as a supplement to your arsenal, rather than your go to pad. It's great for adding that extra bit of coverage, but not for use as a primary pad.

If you're looking for your first crashpad I suggest checking out the mad rock mad pad or the metolius stomp.
