Nice but not the right shape for me

I am 5'4" and 135 with a 36" bust and an A cup. Based on reviews, I ordered a size S and intended for this to be my more fashionable puffer(was not planning on wearing it on an expedition so didn't need a lot of room underneath...I have another frumpy old belay jacket that I use for that). I wear a size 8 pant usually...therein lies the problem: This jacket looks very well made and the contouring of the down is flattering. However I couldn't zip the jacket as it fell at my high hips-- I had to lift it up to my waist to get the zipper to meet. I am a bit curvy but not extremely so. Once zipped, it did not fall cleanly on my body but rather bunched at the bottom.
