Gear Review
The usual marmot quality

Ranked #45 - Women's Down Jackets

I feel like a marmot fangirl, but their down really is the best. I bought this jacket in the bright green color (apparently not in stock, will post a picture later) in a size XS. I am 5'3" with a tiny torso, and this jacket fits very well. Like other reviewers, I was looking at the Patagonia Down sweater, but found that in recent years the brand has increased the sizes of their clothes. It has gotten to the point where I can no longer wear Patagonia outerwear because it is cut so large.
I wore this biking on low-teen days this winter, mountaineering around the single-below-zero's, and walking around town in the twenties. As great in the elements as it is in the tent afterward. For an added bonus, behaves very nicely with my marmot sleeping bag.
Packs small (has its own stuff sack in the left breast pocket - cool!) and doesn't weigh too much. I actually like that it isn't super puffy: were it thicker, it would probably be too warm for any strenuous activity and make me look like a Michelin woman (lets face it, looking good on the mountain is important, y'all).
