I have used these over 25 times touring in the Wasatch backcountry. I have been very pleased with how they have held up. They are perfect for touring for many reasons. First, The stretchy bottom will fit tightly around the boots. They do have an annoying hook at the front for hooking onto laces. I plan on cutting this off. Their water repellancy is excellent and can withstand the worst. I got wet only once while skiing and this was in 4 hours of rain downpour. The inside fabric feels good on the skin and is not scratchy. The material as a whole stretches well with movement and the velcro adjustments at the waist are perfect and remove the need for a belt if you size right. I have the small with a waist of 29 inches and they fit right in the middle of the velcro. There are two knee pockets in addition to the waist pockets. I feel that the knee pockets could be taken away next time as I rarely put stuff near the knee. Otherwise, great product at an excellent price.
