No longer good at gravity feed

I have used a few First Need portable purifiers over the past ten years, and know how they work. The old style (slightly more angular shell) was super for gravity feed, filling a gallon jug in about two minutes when new. This new one takes an hour if it even starts to flow. Getting it started is a pain. Something in the new design inhibits gravity flow.
