Alpina Blazer Touring Boot

Great boot for a great price

By Ranked #197 - Cross Country Skiing February 6, 2011

I bought these cross country ski boots over the internet, they fit perfectly right out of the box, true to size. Before skiing in them I did have to bend the souls to limber them up, they are too stiff otherwise. If you don't bend the souls and make them more pliable this boot will rub your heel terribly. It also helps to tie them very tight at the top to minimize the heel slippage. I would certainly recommend this boot for anyone, like me, who just gets to ski once in awhile.

I live in North Texas, in Burleson, near Fort Worth. We just had a rare snow event that allowed me to take these boots out for a 3 hour ski, no problems, no hot spots on my feet, not blisters of any kind. I wore work socks. My feet stayed dry (other than sweat) and the boots remained firmly locked onto the pins of the skis.

If you have old style pin skis and need a boot to keep those skis out of mothballs then this is the boot to get.
