Great All-Mountain ski!

First of all, let me start by saying that I am an intermediate to expert skier, 5'10" 170 lbs and my Aftershocks are the 174's. I am no pro skier by any means (still learning to do moguls!), but I am known to tear the slopes apart with speed. These are now my 5th pair of ski's that I have owned, not to mention the few that I have rented in the past years. I also tried out my friend's K2 Explorers...These ski's pretty much do it all. They felt good on groomed, & felt better and better with the more snow you threw at them. These make real nice long turns, can make somewhat shorter turns when you make the effort (I am comparing the turns to my last pair of Atomic 9.18's, and my other pair of Atomic D2 Race SL's (which aren't the same type of ski by any means). Great at high speed and I had plenty of control. Very interesting to see the tips flopping around a little bit, but overall I think that K2 is onto something here. I was in all different terrain, never really had any issues. They gave me lots of confidence while rippin' down the mountain, especially on mixed, choppy stuff... I just sailed right over everything. The Explorers, in my opinion, felt a little less controllable. Very happy with my purchase!
