This is my first pair of AT bindings, and I've only skied on them once. I really like how light and solid they are. Very well made. The one surprise for me (and being new to AT I didn't know I'd care) is that you have to remove the ski to switch between ski & walk mode. My friends on Fritsches did this in seconds while I removed one ski at a time to make the change. We'll see with time and how I use these how big a deal that ends up being.

When its really helpful is skiing out on trails on long approaches. When I had fritches, its pretty slick to switch to tour mode real quick for the flats or slight uphill, where putting skins back on would be ridiculous. Sure it just takes a wee bit of time to switch over on markers but it adds up when covering great distance and you must do it over and over.... still sweet bindings though.

I agree with Bradley that this isn't a big deal. I have DynaFits on my current AT skis. I _almost_ always take the skis off anyway when switching to downhill mode in order to take the skins off.

yes, this is the difference with most AT bindings you can stay in the ski to transition. From my limited bc/at experience using markers, fritschi's and dynafits, unless youre racing, doesnt make a big difference!
