Liberty Chopper Alpine Ski

Flex? Yeah right.

By Ranked #127 - Alpine Park and Pipe Skis January 23, 2011

These skis are pretty solid for the pow and they hold up well on the groomers. But be warned, They are harder than a coffin nail. There is no flex, none. Butters and pop are not this skis fortay. I weigh 170 and I have been riding these for five years. If I rip some moguls and try to bend the skis into a groove they actually eject me out before the centers touch the snow. I am an excellent skier, and I am have a very aggressive style. If your looking for something to just ride switch with, then these are great but park? forget it.

Philip, I'm somewhere between intermediate and advanced and I love the steeps, trees and moguls but sometimes cruise groomed. I was just looking at the Liberty Choppers since I could pick them up pretty cheap. Your email is making me think twice! I'm 6'2"/ 195lbs and soon to be 53 years old. Do you think the extra weight would make the difference in the moguls? I've been reading as much as I can but there's no substitute for experience. I've only been on skis for 5 years but I'm a pretty aggressive skier. I have a very limited knowledge of skis. Do you have any ski recommendations (other than I should retire) ? Steve
