I really like these sandals. I mean I REALLY like them. Great toe protection, easy to clip to a pack, good fit, and so much more. My only problems with them after a summer of wearing them almost every day (running a waterfront program on a tidal river) were sliding around in them a bit when they are wet (not too big of a deal) and they began to fall apart (webbing ripping off of the spandex material) after two months.
As I say, I used them just about everyday for an entire summer, but by the end of it they were pretty much destroyed. I tend to beat my shoes up quite a bit and they tend not to last very long, but I had hoped these would be different because the design is so good otherwise.

The sliding is the biggest downfall I've found with them. Regarding the webbing ripping off, that's why I switched to the leather version. Two pairs of the nylon ones didn't last as the leather ones have so far.
