What happened? The last synthetic jacket I had from MontBell was pretty awesome. This one is okay. It really doesn't keep me as warm. Am I just getting older and colder? Bummer. It is very packable - but I've found I have to throw in another wool shirt or a sweatshirt to keep me as warm. An old North Face primaloft jacket I had 7 years ago was way better at lightweight warmth. If I could give this jacket a 3.5 or 3.75 in star land, that's where it would land. Also, they could stand to zipper the pocket on this jacket - small things fall out easily. The nylon is ballistic - I've endured branches, thorns, cat claws, splintered wood and no tears yet.
