what a cool name - i had visions of slicing through trails leaving smoldering coals and hot ash. yeah, whatever. i have pretty skinny and narrow feet, but these shoes are just a little too tight in the toe box for the trail running. these are good kick around shoes and solid scrambling shoes on day hikes. also, the laces are just a little on the short side, which was kind of silly, in my opinion. i do like the sleeve/tongue deal - really helps keep out dirt and on top of the foot. i have had this shoe for a couple years now and really, it's just a casual shoe for me, relegated to short day hikes and absolutely no trail running. i'll leave that to my real running shoes.
