Gear Review
All it's cracked up to be, PLUS great value!

Ranked #701 - Ski Gloves

I've experimented with LOTS of high end gloves for years, including two pairs of BD Guides: as great as they are, the small stuff doesn't hold together & various clips break & seams burst.
On the other hand I've now had the Hestra Heli for about a month & have a dozen ski days on them, ranging from temps in the 40s all the way down to blizzard & deep pow conditions at -7 degrees.
The ONLY complaint, which is clearly operator error, is that I get snow in the gloves when I remove them. This is because I've never had such an effective leash system, which means I trust them to not go away, which means they hang below me, and if I forget to wipe ALL snow away from them it falls into the fingers. Having said that, I'm amazed that the initial crunchy snow turns to cold wetness & then disappears altogether in less than 10 minutes & they feel warm & dry again. How do they do this?
I'll add that price is the least of my concerns for this critical piece of gear, but to get all this for a lot LESS $$ than the BD Guide (or others in my now obsolete arsenal) just makes a great thing even better. Very highly recommended.
