After sporting some of the more city oriented down jackets for a few winters, ie the Gotham and Metropolis jackets from The North Face, my wife was looking for something different for the winter season. I picked up one of these for her and she is stoked. She loves the sleek look, and finds it to be just as warm without the bulk of her other down jackets. I own the men's version of the NAU Down Shirt and have found it to be one of the most versatile items of clothing I own. I agree with the previous reviewer in that this is a great stand along piece and also layers very nicely. If your spouse needs a jacket, pick her up one of these.
